The Story: This guy is a whole mood. Striking large hairwork detail on one side, with a classic mourning scene of an urn on a pedestal, and a weeping willow above. The center of the pendant swivels to reveal a photo of a man, presumably the donor of the hair. The gold surround has ivy leaves (classic symbol of commitment) and black enamel detailing.
The Details: Tests as 14k gold. Conversion piece - originally a brooch, but the pin was broken when I found it. Our jeweler added just the right bale, custom fabricated for this piece in style and scale. Sourced in Birmingham, UK.
